Job summary

Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in California is seeking a Perioperative Care Technician to support the Perioperative Services department. You will maintain clean, stocked equipment, ensure proper functionality of perioperative gear, and assist clinical staff in preparing operating rooms for procedures.

You will manage portable gas tanks, assist with turnover, transport patients, and support teams across Pre Op, PACU, OR, and Endoscopy, contributing to patient safety and efficient

Qualifications

• Two (2) year of recent general medical experience.
• Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean, organized, and well stocked equipment and supply areas; ensures proper functionality of perioperative equipment and prepares operating rooms for surgical procedures.
• Assists clinical staff in preparing operating rooms for procedures and supports clinical teams across all perioperative areas (Pre Op, PACU, OR, Endoscopy).
• Manages portable gas tanks, replaces empty tanks, documents unsafe or malfunctioning equipment, and reports issues promptly.
• Transports patients, handles specimens, and assists with OR turnover to support patient safety and efficient surgical flow.

Education

Two (2) year of recent general medical experience
