Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers, or completion within three (3) months of employment.
• Pass Basic Aseptic Technique class within 90 days of hire or transfer into role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely to and from the OR holding area, PACU or patient rooms.
• Assists with lifting, positioning, and transferring patients as needed.
• Prepares rooms with necessary equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Transports blood products and specimens to labs and blood bank following safety policies.
• Maintains sanitation and orderly traffic in OR, SDS, PACU, and related areas.
