Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support surgeons in a fast-paced operating room. You will anticipate needs, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field to ensure quality patient care. Training in aseptic technique and instrument handling is provided; prior LPN exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; nursing program experience preferred.
• Certification of LPN license preferred for advanced duties.
• Attention to detail and listening skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates surgeon needs by passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Assists with tissue retraction, exposure, and suture cutting under supervision.
• Maintains organized sterile field and proper instrument sterilization.
• Follows aseptic techniques and reports unsafe practices immediately.
• Supports case setup, turnover, and equipment checks before procedures.
