Job summary

Liberty Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to process instrumentation used in the operating room and ancillary areas, ensuring regulatory and internal standards are met. The role provides customer-focused service to Health System staff, leadership, medical staff, and patients.

Responsibilities include decontaminating, assembling and sterilizing instruments; operating department equipment; documenting the sterilization process; maintaining a clean and safe work environment; and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Sterile Processing Technician or Surgical Technologist experience or enrollment/completion of a Sterile Processing Certification program.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates, assembles and sterilizes instrumentation per national guidelines and internal standards.
• Operates departmental equipment according to policies/procedures.
• Document sterilization processes thoroughly and maintain quality control.
• Prioritize and communicate customer needs within the department and with customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform duties related to the assigned unit or department as directed.
