Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Surgical Services Manager to ensure safe, high-quality and cost-effective care within the perioperative unit. You will lead a team, collaborate with physicians and administrative staff, and drive process improvements to optimize patient flow and bed management.

The role requires a BSN (or RN-MSN in progress), an active RN license, and 3+ years in nursing with perioperative experience; CNOR/CAPA preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN or actively pursuing RN-MSN with completion within 3 years of being in the role.
• Current RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
• 3+ years of Nursing with at least a year in perioperative nursing experience.
• Healthcare Provider card or completion of a course within probation period.
• Perioperative certification (CNOR, CAPA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assures delivery of safe, high-quality and cost-effective care within the unit.
• Involves proactive patient flow and bed management with Staffing Office.
• Collaborates with administrative personnel, physicians, and co-workers to improve processes.
• Leads and mentors staff, fosters change, and promotes professional standards.
• Ensures adherence to Mercy Mission, Values and Service Standards.
