Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. seeks a Clinical Manager for Perioperative Areas to oversee daily perioperative nursing operations in Duluth, GA. The role requires strong leadership, budget management, staffing and a focus on patient throughput and safety.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the Director on goals, developing policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while supporting a high-performing surgical services team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of five (5) years experience in perioperative nursing, with at least two (2) years supervisory, managerial, or other responsible nursing experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Health Care Administration from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years clinical experience in Pre-Op, PACU or ERU.
• ACLS or specialty certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily clinical and operational activities for perioperative nursing units and maintains 24-hour accountability.
• Develops departmental goals, policies and procedures in collaboration with the Director.
• Maintains perioperative systems to ensure efficient patient throughput.
• Participates in hospital committees and contributes to policy development.
• Measures unit productivity and reports on performance metrics.
• Coordinates supply purchases and manages the budget for non-stock items.
• Ensures regulatory and accreditation compliance across the department.
• Communicates with anesthesia, physicians and staff to ensure safe, effective operations.
• Leads staffing plans, orientation and continuing education for perioperative personnel.
• Oversees quality improvement activities and participates in strategic planning.
