Job summary

Northwest Georgia Surgery Center is seeking a PreOp PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuous, quality perioperative care. You will monitor patients emerging from anesthesia, support physicians in the OR, and ensure safety and comfort throughout recovery.

The ideal candidate holds a GA RN license, CPR/ACLS/PALS, and 3+ years in intra-operative settings, with strong judgment and teamwork to coordinate patient discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Current State of Georgia Nursing License.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
• Minimum 3 years experience preferred intra-operative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and high-quality nursing care for all patients undergoing perioperative care.
• Evaluate patient condition continually to ensure safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, sedation, and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Provide comprehensive care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation and plan discharge preparation.
