Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, part of Catholic Health, is seeking a Director of Perioperative Services. The role oversees the perioperative continuum, ensuring safe, efficient and patient-centered care from scheduling through recovery.

The position requires strong planning, organizational, analytical, and leadership skills to drive inter-disciplinary collaboration and fiscal stewardship in a complex hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited professional nursing program.
• Current RN Licensure in the State of New York
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing required
• MSN or equivalent required OR current enrollment in a MSN or equivalent program with completion within two (2) years

Responsibilities

• Direct and accountable for safe, patient-centered perioperative care.
• Oversee department operations and performance measurement.
• Lead 24-hour management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery.
• Manage resources, development of personnel, and regulatory compliance.
• Plan long-term tactical changes to optimize operational and financial efficiency.
• Oversee Surgical services including Cardiac Surgery, PACU, Central Sterile and scheduling.
