Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Director of Perioperative Services to oversee the operational flow across perioperative service lines. You will lead strategic planning, budget oversight, and quality initiatives while working with surgeons, site leaders and ancillary teams to ensure excellent patient care.

The role requires a BSN with MSN preferred, a current Ohio nursing license, BLS, and at least 5 years of progressive perioperative management experience.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• MSN preferred
• Current nursing license in the State of Ohio; BLS required; certification in specialty area or leadership within 6 months of eligibility.
• 5 years of progressive clinical management experience with periop experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership, organization skills, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the 24/7 operational flow of perioperative service lines and ensures compliance with professional, regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Partners with site and regional leadership to develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets; optimizes resources and reimbursement for procedures.
• Leads and mentors managers and frontline staff to promote collaboration, engagement and growth within the department.
• Monitors quality and patient outcomes, drives performance improvement, and coordinates interdisciplinary teams to improve perioperative processes.
