Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami is offering a 6-month Perioperative RN Training Program to transition experienced Registered Nurses into the intraoperative OR setting. The program includes hands-on training and clinical education to develop surgical patient care skills.

Minimum requirements: FL RN License, BLS/ACLS, and graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with at least 1 year RN experience. CNOR is preferred for OR nurses.

Qualifications

• FL RN License required and BLS/ACLS certification.
• Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience.
• CNOR certification is preferred for OR nurses.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the OR suite for new admissions and greets the patient.
• Assists anesthesia with monitoring and blood product checks; documents administration.
• Performs pre‑op/post‑op assessments and keeps accurate records.
• Administers IV therapy and medications within policy timelines.
• Upholds safety protocols, including hand hygiene and radiation safety.
• Demonstrates competency in OR equipment and patient care during shifts.
