Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC is seeking a perioperative Registered Nurse to design, coordinate and deliver care across the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases. You will apply nursing knowledge, ensure Universal Protocol compliance, and document in Cerner while maintaining asepsis and patient safety.

The role requires a BSN, 1 year OR experience, an active CA RN license, and BLS. ACLS is preferred, with LA City safety training either completed or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• 1 year operating room nursing experience in an acute setting required.
• Valid California RN license and active BLS required.
• ACLS preferred; Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) required or obtained within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases.
• Adhere to Universal Patient Safety Goals and surgical safety protocols.
• Coordinate care, document accurately in the Cerner system
• Delegate tasks appropriately and advocate for patient needs.
• Maintain sterile technique and manage instruments and equipment.
