Job summary

MedCadre in Kentucky is seeking an Operating Room RN to deliver safe perioperative care across surgical procedures. You will assess patients preoperatively, circulate during operations, monitor patient status, and coordinate with the surgical team to ensure sterility and patient safety.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing degree,Active RN license, BLS, and ideally ACLS. Prior OR or circulator experience is preferred, with strong knowledge of infection control and documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• Active RN license as required by state regulations.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred or required based on role requirements.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, surgical procedures, and patient safety.
• Previous Operating Room/Circulator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prepare patients before surgery.
• Provide circulating nursing care during surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient condition and maintain patient safety throughout surgery.
• Assist with surgical procedures and coordinate with the surgical team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Follow infection control and sterile technique protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and other healthcare professionals.
