Head and Neck Surgery, Assoc., PSC in Florence, KY is seeking a skilled PRN Registered Nurse to support preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care within our surgical team.

The RN will advocate for patients, collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and ensure safe, individualized care across the perioperative continuum. BLS/ACLS certification and active KY licensure are required, with experience in surgical or ambulatory settings preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Kentucky.
• BLS/ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience in surgical or ambulatory care settings preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and patient care assignments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, individualized nursing care in Pre-op, PACU, and O.R. settings.
• Conduct thorough preoperative assessments and implement care plans.
• Monitor patients post-operatively for progress and complications.
• Educate patients and caregivers on discharge instructions and recovery.
• Participate in admitting and discharging patients in a timely, safe manner.
• Support infection control and safety protocols.
• Assist with inventory, stocking, and maintaining a clean peri-operative environment.
• Respond competently to emergency situations and alarms.
• Collaborate in QAPI initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and orientation of new personnel.
