Job summary

SurgCenter Camelback, part of United Surgical Partners International, is seeking a PREOP/PACU RN to join our ambulatory surgery team in Phoenix, AZ.

The RN provides continuous, high-quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia, assists physicians, and ensures safety, comfort, and privacy, with a focus on patient-centered discharge.

Requirements include AZ RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and at least 2 years in PACU or critical care; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active AZ RN license.
• BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Prioritize and organize workload to meet patient/unit needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all PACU patients.
• Monitor patient condition with safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Provide care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation and plan for discharge.
