Job summary

Regent Surgical Health is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive perioperative care before and after surgery. You will assess patients, administer preoperative medications, monitor recovery, and coordinate with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient discharge planning.

Minimum two years of nursing experience, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS are required. A BSN/MSN is preferred, and ASC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum two years of nursing experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
RN license in appropriate State.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
BSN/MSN preferred for advanced practice.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and prepare patients for surgery, including risk assessment and history review.
Provide perioperative care before and after anesthesia with continuous monitoring.
Explain procedures and expectations to patients and families.
Administer preoperative meds and IV fluids as needed.
Monitor vitals, manage pain, and ensure safety protocols.
Communicate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff to coordinate care.
Discharge planning and patient/family education for post-op care.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation and equipment readiness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
