Job summary

SCA Health is hiring an RN in PreOp/PACU in Denton, TX. You will assess patients preoperatively and postoperatively, manage recovery from anesthesia, administer medications, and provide education and hand-offs to the team. Strong nursing credentials and PACU/PreOp experience are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment; PALS if required by scope.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status.
• Provide monitoring and support during anesthesia recovery.
• Administer medications using safety protocols.
• Educate patients and families about perioperative care.
• Document care and ensure safe hand-offs to the team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Education

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

Current state nursing license

ACLS certification

PALS certification (when pediatric care included)
