Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice with good standing; BLS/BCLS within 90 days.
• ACLS within 90 days; PALS if pediatric care is included within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to facility policies.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide hand-off reports to teammates, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Educate patients and families about perioperative care and expectations.
