HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, FL seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for perioperative care in the Operating Room. You will evaluate patients preoperatively, educate families, prepare patients with IV therapy and meds, and participate in surgical site verification and safe workflow.

Requires Florida RN license (multistate acceptable), 1+ year perioperative experience, BSN/ADN/ diploma, and certifications (BCLS/ACLS/PALS).

Formación

• Florida RN license required, multistate license acceptable; relocation may require Florida license within 60 days.
• 1+ year RN experience in acute care preferred.
• RN Diploma/Associate/BSN degrees acceptable; CNOR preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• BCLS required within 30 days; ACLS within 6 months; PALS within 6 months.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about peri-operative care.
• Prepare patients, manage IV therapy and preoperative meds, verify surgical site.
• Participate in surgical site verification, including time-out and briefing.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
• Be part of an interdisciplinary team including providers, surgeons, surgical technologists.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor changes, document care thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
