Qualifications
- RN license and current licensure in the state.
- ACLS within 30 days of start date.
- BLS within 30 days of start date.
- (RN) Registered Nurse; Associate Degree in Nursing required.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
- Educate patients and families about procedures and peri-operative care.
- Prepare patients, including IV therapy and preoperative meds.
- Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
- Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in the OR.
- Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to care.
- Monitor patient condition and document changes and care provided.
