Job summary

River Ridge Surgical Suites is hiring a Full-Time Pre Op / Post Op Registered Nurse. The RN provides quality perioperative care using the nursing process and organization policies in the pre and post operative settings.

The role requires a nursing degree, active RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least 2 years in Pre-Op/Post Op/PACU, preferably in ambulatory surgery. Strong teamwork, communication and patient-focused care are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Virginia Nursing License.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/Post Op/PACU.
• Ambulatory surgical setting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation.
• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.
• Excellent teaching, communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation and adaptability.
• Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care using the nursing process and medical plan of care.
• Deliver safe, patient-centered care in pre and post op perioperative services.
• Follow organizational policies and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure quality care.
• Support the mission, vision and values of River Ridge Surgical Suites.
