Job summary

Banner Health’s Wyoming Medical Center in Casper is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre and Post Operative Care. You will prep patients for surgery, start IVs, ensure consent documentation, and assist with nerve blocks in a perioperative setting.

In this role you will care for patients in phase 1 and 2 recovery, work 4–10 hour shifts, participate in on‑call rotations and join a cohesive team dedicated to delivering high-quality patient outcomes every day.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wyoming or a compact state.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in acute care or perioperative nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social and discharge planning needs.
• Prepare patients for surgery and start IVs; ensure consent and paperwork.
• Assist with nerve blocks and care for patients in post-anesthesia recovery phases 1 and 2.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions and patient responses in the record.
• Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team and supervise care delivery as applicable.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.
