Job summary

EyeSouth Partners seeks a Registered Nurse to support Pre-Op, OR, and PACU within East Atlanta Eye Surgery Center. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical leadership, infection control, and collaborative care with physicians and the health care team.

You will assess patients, administer meds, document care, and prepare the surgical suite, while upholding patient safety and privacy throughout perioperative services.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of work.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Current surgical experience (within past 3 years).
• Current Pre-op/PACU experience (within past 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-op, OR, and PACU patient care.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient status.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Document care and communicate with care team.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to plan and evaluate care.
• Prepare surgery suite and assist as needed.
• Educate patients and families for discharge.
• Supervise non-licensed staff as assigned.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
