Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room team. The OR supports orthopedic, general, and some OB/GYN procedures across five rooms, with da Vinci robotic assistance now available. Typical shifts run 7:00am–3:30pm with 1–2 weekly call shifts.

We offer a $20,000 sign‑on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. RN license in NC, BLS and ACLS within specified windows are required; ADN is required, BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current North Carolina RN license required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• One year Operating Room RN experience preferred; new‑to‑OR candidates may be considered based on overall experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs thorough pre‑, intra‑, and post‑operative assessments to ensure safe patient care.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and supports efficient workflow.
• Provides age‑ and procedure‑appropriate nursing care throughout the perioperative process.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
