North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking an experienced OR RN to provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for diverse patient populations. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to perioperative standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Candidates must hold NC or compact RN licensure, with required BLS and a preference for BSN, CNOR, ACLS, and PALS. Eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus for full-time status and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with licensure in NC or compact state.
• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS & PALS preferred; must obtain within 6 months if not active.
• CNOR certification strongly preferred.
• Familiar with perioperative instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to surgical patients in the OR.
• Follow age-specific standards for medications and care across patient ages.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and SPD staff to plan perioperative care.
• Maintain patient safety through accurate documentation and adherence to policies.
• Support Universal Protocol and time-out procedures for all procedures.
• Engage in performance improvement activities and quality initiatives.
