Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse on our Operating Room team to provide comprehensive perioperative care and support high-quality surgical outcomes.

You will perform pre-, intra-, and post-operative assessments, coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists, and maintain accurate documentation in the medical record while advancing your perioperative skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required
• Current North Carolina RN license or compact state license
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
• One year OR RN experience preferred; new-to-OR considered with applicable experience

Responsibilities

• Performs thorough pre-, intra-, and post-operative assessments
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and supports efficient workflow
• Provides age- and procedure-appropriate nursing care throughout perioperative care
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to deliver high-quality outcomes
