Job summary

MercyOne Genesis is hiring a Registered Nurse in a perioperative role to drive clinical operations readiness for one or more surgical service lines. The RN will ensure safe, efficient patient care across all phases of surgery and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and SPD teams.

The role emphasizes service line optimization, standardization, and engagement with key partners to deliver high-quality surgical care within a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in surgical workflows, instrumentation, and perioperative processes.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs independent perioperative nursing functions—including scrubbing, circulating, case preparation, aseptic practice, equipment readiness, room turnover, and accurate surgical documentation.
• Collaborates with patients, surgeons, anesthesia, and OR team to support training, preference cards, and performance improvement.
• Serve as the primary clinical operations lead for assigned surgical service lines; ensure end-to-end readiness for scheduled procedures.
