Job summary

The Eye Institute of West Florida Surgery Center in St. Petersburg, FL seeks a PRN Registered Nurse for Pre-Op, Post-Op and Operating Room support.

You will assess, plan, implement and document nursing care in accordance with policy, HIPAA, and accrediting standards, with a focus on patient safety and high-quality perioperative care. The role requires an accredited nursing program graduate, an active RN license in Florida, BLS, and at least 6 months of OR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state where the worksite is located.
• BLS certification required.
• At least 6 months of OR experience (scrubbing and/or circulating) required.
• Favorable result on Background Check

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care in accordance with established standards.
• Supervise and direct patient care in the Operating Room.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient rights.
• Coordinate with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists and staff.
• Prepare operative area and assist in sterile technique.
• Maintain accurate medical records and participate in QA program activities
