Job summary

Mercy in Fort Smith, Arkansas is seeking a Registered Nurse for peri-operative care. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, and communicate findings to the care team with documentation in the medical record.

You will also oversee services provided by ancillary staff and ensure adherence to safety and infection control policies. The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN licensure in the state, and experience with diverse surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with medication administration math competency.
• RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Experience with peri-operative procedures including GYN, EENT, Urology, Orthopedic, Plastic, CV and neuro procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate peri-operative patient care.
• Communicate findings to physicians and document in the medical record.
• Oversee care and services provided by ancillary and other professionals.
• Support Mercy safety and infection control policies and uphold the hospital mission.
