Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Ambulatory Surgery Center. The RN will deliver competent nursing care across the surgical continuum, including pre-operative, intra-operative circulating roles, and PACU recovery. Strong communication and critical thinking are essential to advocate for patients.

Minimum 2 years in an operating room, ophthalmology preferred. Active RN license, BCLS, ACLS & PALS certifications required; ACLS/PALS through American Heart

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' operating room experience; ophthalmology preferred.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment or compact licensure.
• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Valid BCLS, ACLS & PALS certifications required; through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive pre-operative patient assessments, verifies consents, H&P, orders, and time-out procedures per policy.
• Functions as circulating nurse during surgical procedures, coordinating room activities and supporting surgeon and anesthesia needs.
• Prepares and administers medications safely and per physician orders.
• Collaborates with anesthesia during induction and emergencies; responds to changes in patient condition.
• Provides PACU care including airway management, vital signs monitoring, pain control, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Maintains accurate documentation throughout all phases of care.
• Delivers effective hand-off reports during transitions between pre-op, OR, and PACU.
• Follows safety protocols and uses proper body mechanics to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Performs nursing duties as assigned.
