Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners is seeking a Peri-Operative Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care across the surgical continuum in an Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role includes pre-operative assessments, circulating duties, medication administration, and PACU care.

The position requires (2+) years in an OR setting (ophthalmology preferred), active RN license, and BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in an operating room; ophthalmology preferred.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment or compact licensure.
• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BCLS, ACLS & PALS certifications required upon employment (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive pre-operative patient assessments and verifies consents, H&P, orders, and time-out procedures.
• Functions as circulating nurse during surgical procedures, coordinating room activities and anticipating surgeon and anesthesia needs.
• Prepares and administers medications safely and accurately per policies.
• Collaborates with anesthesia during induction and emergencies and responds to patient condition changes.
• Provides PACU care including airway management, vital signs monitoring, pain control, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Ensures accurate documentation throughout all phases of care and effective hand-off reports.
• Utilizes safety protocols to promote patient and staff safety.
• Performs nursing duties as assigned.
