Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a qualified perioperative nurse to support patients and physicians across our ambulatory centers in Newport Beach. The role emphasizes adherence to clinical quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced perioperative setting.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, current state licensure, and at least one year in OR/medical-surgical nursing, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• BLS within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• PALS required when pediatric care is included within 90 days.
• Specialty perioperative nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
