Job summary

Katmai Government Services in Colorado is seeking a RN perioperative nurse to direct and provide nursing care for patients undergoing surgery at a military medical facility near Fort Carson. The role includes coordination with the surgical team, recovery and ICU, and ensuring safety and compliance with standard policies.

You will document patient care events, assist with emergencies, and support preoperative to postoperative care across all ages, with emphasis on infection control and quality

Qualifications

• Active RN license and nursing degree required.
• Minimum twelve months OR experience and instrument/equipment sterilization experience.
• Must be able to read, understand, speak, and write English well.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise surgical nursing care in the operating room.
• Assist surgeon and coordinate with recovery, ICU, and obstetrics units.
• Maintain compliant documentation of patient care and process improvement.
• Assist with emergencies including CPR and ACLS as needed.
• Provide perioperative nursing care for all patient ages and conditions.
