Job summary

Katmai is seeking an experienced perioperative nurse to lead and direct operating room activities. Responsibilities include patient preparation, sterile processing, intraoperative coordination with surgeons, and post-procedure care across diverse patient populations.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing with current licensure, BLS/ALS/PALS certifications, and at least 12 months OR experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an ACEN/CCNE-accredited program.
• Active nursing license in good standing; current BLS/ALS/PALS certifications.
• Minimum 12 months OR experience including sterile technique.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Direct and instruct personnel in preparing, sterilizing, and caring for operating room equipment.
• Coordinate with surgeons and hospital units to prioritize patient care in the OR.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and process improvements.
• Administer medications and manage fluids and blood products as needed.
• Ensure safety standards and compliance with infection control and perioperative policies.
• Participate in orientation and evaluation of new staff; support teamwork and customer service initiatives.
