Job summary

Katmai Government Services in Colorado Springs is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia services in support of military health facilities. You will administer anesthesia, preop evaluations, and post-anesthesia care in accordance with AANA Guidelines and credentialing.

This full-time position requires current CRNA certification, state RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited BSN program and an accredited MSN in nurse anesthesia.
• Active RN license with authority to practice as CRNA per jurisdiction.
• Must hold and maintain CRNA certification with recertification every 2 years.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and sedation for pediatric and adult patients, with pre/intra/postoperative evaluation and care.
• Manage anesthesia experience, preop prep, monitors, regional and general anesthesia, and postoperative evaluations.
• Advise physicians of adverse reactions and take appropriate actions.
• Assist in training staff in venipuncture, IV therapy, respiratory care, and anesthesia tasks.
• Ensure accuracy of all reports/forms with signature after validation.
• Attend professional staff conferences and other relevant activities.
• Adhere to Service/MTF/Local policies for anesthesia delivery and maintain punctual attendance.
