Job summary

UF Health in Florida is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse to provide nursing care across select perioperative phases. The RN remains accountable for assigned patients and may serve as charge nurse when required, coordinating with surgical staff and anesthesia teams.

Requirements include an accredited nursing program, Florida RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS. A BSN is preferred within three years of hire. PACU/OR experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• New hires must have a BSN within three years of hire/transfer.
• Fellowship RNs must obtain ACLS and PALS within six months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in select phases of perioperative care.
• Maintain accountability for assigned patients and use the nursing process.
• Act as charge nurse when assigned and coordinate with Surgical Technologists, PACU staff, and anesthesia team.
