Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) in Florida to provide nursing care across perioperative phases. The RN maintains accountability for assigned patients and may act as charge nurse when assigned, under the Nurse Manager’s supervision.

Position requires Florida licensure, BLS and ACLS, with PALS within six months of hire; BSN within three years for new hires. Fellowship nurses have specific ACLS/PALS timelines as noted.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• New hires effective June 14, 2017 must have a BSN degree within three years of hire or transfer.
• Current employees hired or transferred before Aug 1, 2013 will be grandfathered.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in select phases of perioperative care.
• Perform staff nurse activities and act as charge nurse when assigned.
• Under supervision of Nurse Manager, manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process.
