Job summary

You will perform exams, administer medications, manage wounds and IVs, intervene in emergencies, document care, and educate patients and families. BLS and ACLS certifications are required; OR experience is preferred, and a Florida RN license is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing is required.
• Florida RN license is required.
• OR experience is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with treatment team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate.
• Perform physical exams, health histories, nursing assessments and routine observations.
• Provide direct patient care including medications, wound care, injections, IV infusions and other treatments.
• Recognize and intervene in life-threatening emergencies, administer emergency drugs and use defibrillator or other emergency treatment.
• Document assessments, care rendered, procedures, and care plans with updates.
• Provide patient and family health education on conditions and follow-up care.
• Adhere to OSHA guidelines and quality control methods.
• All other department duties as assigned.
