Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse to provide nursing care across select phases of perioperative services. Under supervision of the Nurse Manager, you will apply the nursing process to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Nursing with Florida licensure and BLS; ACLS and PALS are required or will be obtained within specified timelines. BSN within three years of hire is preferred for new staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• New hires must obtain BSN within three years of hire or transfer.
• Current employees hired before Aug 1, 2013 will be grandfathered.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Specialty Certification.
• Licensed to practice nursing in Florida; BLS and ACLS required; PALS required within 6 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in select phases of Perioperative care.
• Perform staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned.
• Maintain accountability for assigned patients and collaborate with the care team.
