Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced RN - Registered Nurse Perioperative Specialty Coordinator at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. This RN III role supports Adult Surgery with leadership and direct patient care in a hospital setting.

You will mentor staff, ensure high-quality nursing standards, and collaborate with physicians to improve patient outcomes in a fast-paced perioperative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse required.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and maintains nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting changes in physician orders.
• Assists physician in examination and minor procedures; serves as a resource for complex procedures.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data, intervenes as needed, administers medications as prescribed.
