Job summary

Mercy Health's West Hospital seeks a Surgical Services Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver perioperative patient care in the operating room, coordinating with the surgical team to ensure safety throughout the perioperative process.

The role requires an RN license in the practicing state, BLS/ACLS or PALS, and preferred CNOR; 2+ years CC experience or OR internship; BSN preferred. Competitive pay and strong benefits support a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice (or compact).
• BLS and ACLS or PALS certifications are preferred at hire.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• SGNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop plans of care with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Administer medications safely per policy and procedures.
• Serve as point of contact for care coordination across departments.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety efforts.
• Coordinate nursing care within the OR and support the surgical team.
• Provide preop, intraop, and post-op care and discharge instructions.
