Job summary

SCA Health is actively hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room. The role involves promoting the organization’s mission and values, and coordinating perioperative patient care within a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license, and current BLS/ACLS (and PALS if pediatric care is involved). Prior OR experience is preferred and specialty perioperative certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or current BLS certification.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment or current ACLS certification.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days if pediatric care is included in scope.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
