Job summary

SCA Health is actively hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room to support perioperative patients. The RN will promote the organization’s mission and values while providing high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing degree, valid state licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as applicable. OT, benefits, and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if pediatric care is included within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
