Job summary

Methodist Childrens Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse II for pre/post day surgery with pediatric focus in San Antonio. You will evaluate patients pre‑op, educate families, manage IV therapy and medications, and ensure surgical safety protocols are followed on a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• RN required with acute care experience.
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• RN license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver high-quality care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve workflow.
