Baptist Health is seeking an RN - First Assistant to render direct intraoperative care as a First Assistant to the Surgeon. The RNFA will operate as an expanded Perioperative Nurse, with authority to assist the Surgeon under supervision, aligning with the Alabama Board of Nursing and AORN guidance.

Required are RN licensure, CNOR, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months. A Bachelor’s degree and RNFA program completion are preferred, with OR experience and professional association involvement recommended.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• CNOR certification required.
• BLS required, ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct intraoperative nursing care as a First Assistant to the Surgeon.
• Assist the Surgeon to perform safe operations and optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to Alabama State Board of Nursing, ACS, and AORN RNFA guidelines.
