South Baldwin Medical Group seeks an RN First Assist (RNFA) to join its perioperative team in Foley, Alabama. The RNFA provides advanced perioperative nursing care, assisting surgeons across specialties during operative procedures, and participates in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.

The role requires 2–4 years of perioperative OR experience. Certification as RNFA is preferred, with RN licensure in good standing.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of perioperative nursing experience in an operating room setting.
• 1-2 years of experience as a certified RN First Assist providing intraoperative surgical assistance preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide advanced surgical assistance to the operating surgeon, including tissue handling and suturing.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to plan and evaluate perioperative care plans.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control throughout procedures.
• Assess patient needs pre- and postoperatively and provide education and support.
