Job summary

Meeker Memorial Hospital is seeking a Perioperative Services Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care across pre-op, intra-op and post-op phases. The role emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and clear communication within a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, preparing the OR, assisting anesthesia, and delivering post-anesthesia care with emphasis on infection control and patient education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's degree (AA) as a Registered Nurse (RN); BSN preferred.
• 1-year prior experience and/or training in perioperative area preferred.
• Acute hospital Medical/Surgical or ICU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative Phase: conduct assessments, educate patients and families, prepare OR and ensure sterility.
• Intraoperative Phase: manage OR nursing care, monitor vitals, assist anesthesia, maintain sterile environment.
• Postoperative Phase: care for patient recovering from anesthesia and provide wound care instructions.
