The Perioperative Registered Nurse at Center for Advanced Surgery provides continuous, quality nursing care before, during, and after procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy. You will monitor patients, assist physicians in the OR, manage sedation, and contribute to discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Current NJ Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR, ACLS, PALS required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PreOp/PACU, Critical Care ED or Tele.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition.
• May assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; discharge planning
