Job summary

Crown Point Surgery Center is seeking an organized Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced ASC team. The RN will assess, plan, and implement perioperative care for patients, ensuring safety, infection control and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure, CPR and ALS, with at least one year of intra-operative experience. Reports to the Clinical Director and contributes to quality improvement initiatives within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing and licensed in the state.
• CPR and advanced life support certification required.
• One year intra-operative experience preferred.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop an individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Implement care and monitor safety, infection control, and patient comfort.
• Communicate patient status to physicians, patients, families and team members.
• Perform count procedures to prevent retained foreign objects.
• Ensure the correct site, side and level of the procedure.
• Administer medications and provide patient education.
• Document nursing care and transfer care as appropriate.
• Participate in quality improvement audits and performance improvement projects.
