Job summary

USPI Center for Advanced Surgery in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse to provide continuous high-quality care before, during, and after procedures in our fast-paced ASC environment.

The RN will assist physicians in the procedure rooms, monitor patients through anesthesia recovery, ensure safety, comfort and privacy, and coordinate discharge planning; qualifications include NJ RN license, CPR/ACLS/PALS, and 2 years' preop/PACU or critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Current NJ Registered Nurse License.
• Current CPR, ACLS, PALS required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PreOp/PACU, Critical Care ED or Tele.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care with continual evaluation of the patient\'s condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate for discharge.
