Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Ohio required.
• BSN within 5 years of hire.
• AD/Diploma nurses may be hired.
• Certification in area of clinical specialty expected within five years.

Responsibilities

• Performs holistic assessment of physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and education needs.
• Reports abnormal data to physician and charge RN promptly.
• Uses SBAR and handoff processes to communicate with the care team.
• Initiates discharge planning upon admission and makes appropriate referrals.
• Provides patient and family education in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Responds to emergencies with controlled precision.
• Maintains safety by using protective devices and preventing contamination.
• Documents nursing actions and care plans in the EMR.
• Participates in ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
• Leads and mentors peers as needed.
